Tranquil Waters performs private and communal pet aquamation at its family-owned Biddeford facility. Private care returns ashes in a standard Ribbon Box urn; its tracking system identifies each pet. The company says ashes are usually ready in 7 to 14 days and can be collected at its facility or returned to a local partner hospital.
One thing to know: The site publishes no aquamation prices or complete home-pickup area. Confirm whether your veterinary hospital is a partner and ask about collection, added fees and any viewing appointment before relying on transport. Communal care does not return ashes.
Questions Worth Answering Before You Call
Choose private care if ashes should return, or communal care if they should not. Tranquil Waters does not post an aquamation price for either.
Ask whether your Portland veterinary hospital is one of its partners. Ashes can return to participating hospitals, or families can collect them in Biddeford; a Portland home-pickup route is not published.
Confirm timing and any goodbye visit. The company states 7 to 14 days after aquamation, drying and preparation, but does not publish a witnessed-placement offer.
