Pet Cremation - Oxnard, California
Pet Cremation in Oxnard, CA
Oxnard has no independent pet crematory that we could confirm: the two providers we can recommend come from outside the city, one a Calabasas pet cemetery that has served Ventura County since 1929, the other an end-of-life veterinary practice with its own aftercare facility. Neither publishes prices.
Our Recommended Providers in Oxnard
We reviewed the available options and selected these providers based on transparency, communication, and value.
Hearts & Halos
Best for Oxnard families who want one provider for the goodbye, the cremation and the keepsakes.
Contact for pricing
Hearts & Halos is a veterinary practice that does only end-of-life care and covers Ventura County. It runs its own aftercare facility, so your pet stays in its hands, and offers communal cremation, individual cremation and aquamation, with keepsakes. Its team arrives in an unmarked vehicle and regular clothes.
One thing to know: It publishes no prices and does not say where its facility is, so ask for the total and the turnaround. Its phone numbers are for Los Angeles, Orange County and the valleys, so confirm the Ventura County team when you call.
LA Pet Memorial Park
Best for Los Angeles families who want a long-established cemetery and crematory.
Contact for pricing
The Los Angeles Pet Memorial Park in Calabasas has served Los Angeles and Ventura counties since 1929, with cremation, burial, a mausoleum, transportation and pre-planning, and you are welcome to visit before you decide.
One thing to know: Prices are not published, the office is closed on Wednesdays and Sundays, and Calabasas is a long drive from the east side.
Questions Worth Answering Before You Call
Do you want your pet's ashes back? Both offer individual cremation with the ashes returned, and Hearts & Halos also offers communal cremation and aquamation. Ask each for the total for your pet's weight.
Do you want to visit before you decide? The Los Angeles Pet Memorial Park in Calabasas, about 35 miles from Oxnard, welcomes visits, has burial and a mausoleum as well, and is closed Wednesdays and Sundays.
Do you also need help with the goodbye? Hearts & Halos does in-home euthanasia across Ventura County and handles the cremation itself afterwards. If your vet or a shelter refers you to West Coast Pet Memorial, know that it is part of Gateway Services, a national corporate aftercare company, and we do not include it in our recommendations.
