Questions Worth Answering Before You Call
Choose where to start the arrangement. Columbia Pet Cremation Center accepts pets in Cayce as Palmetto's Midlands partner, while Palmetto is the company that operates the aquamation equipment in St. Stephen.
Ask which published figure applies to your route. The Cayce partner lists aquamation from $290; Palmetto lists $370 for pets from 26 to 75 pounds and $95 more for the upgraded urn and clay-paw package.
Put the return path in writing. Palmetto says cremains usually return through the family's pet-care provider in about two weeks, so name the clinic or Cayce contact responsible for calling you.
Compare the water route with local flame care. Columbia's live cremation page shows about $85 communal and $350 private for a medium dog, both handled closer to the city than the St. Stephen equipment.
