Pet Cremation - Akron, Ohio
Pet Cremation in Akron, OH
Akron's pet cremation options run from a dedicated pet crematory to funeral homes and a national in-home service. Eternal Paws performs private cremation one pet at a time from its Norton location and offers pet chapels for a memorial, but quotes by phone, while Donovan Funeral Home publishes an all-inclusive individual cremation package, about $350 for a larger dog with keepsakes included, and a communal option at half that. A national in-home network rounds out the options at a published $250 to $450 for families who want the goodbye at home. Providers cover Akron and Summit County by pickup or home visit, water cremation was not confirmed locally, and the choice comes down to price, whether you want a memorial on site, and whether you want an in-home visit.

We reviewed the available options and selected these providers based on transparency, communication, and value.
Eternal Paws
Best for families who want a dedicated pet crematory and a memorial service.
Contact for pricing
Eternal Paws is a dedicated pet crematory serving the Akron area from its Norton location in Summit County, performing private cremation one pet at a time so your pet stays in its own care. It has pet chapels where families can hold a memorial service, plus home and veterinary pickup, and it keeps long daily hours.
One thing to know: It publishes no prices, so quotes are by phone, and it focuses on private flame cremation rather than water cremation or a communal option. Confirm the pickup fee for your part of the county.
Donovan Funeral Home
Best for families who want an all-inclusive package with published prices and keepsakes.
Typical range
$175 to $350
medium dog
Donovan is an established Akron-area funeral home whose individual pet cremation is an all-inclusive package with a published price, about $350 for a larger dog, that already includes clay and ink paw prints, a fur lock, a certificate, a wooden urn and an engraved nameplate. Its communal cremation is offered at half the price, and it provides 24/7 pickup.
One thing to know: The published figure is for a larger dog, so a medium pet costs a little less, and professional removal adds a fee. The all-inclusive package sits above a simple base cremation, and it does not offer aquamation or in-home euthanasia.
CodaPet
The most price-transparent national in-home euthanasia network
Typical range
$250 to $450
medium dog
