Parting Stone
Turns all of a pet's ashes into a set of smooth stones you can hold.
Some families want more than an urn. Two services turn ashes into something you can hold: solidification, which returns all of the ashes as smooth stones, and memorial diamonds, which grow a gem from the carbon in the ashes. This is an honest look at how each works and what it costs, so the choice is clear before you commit.
Typical price: Solidified stone runs about $1,000 to $2,500. Memorial diamonds range from roughly $1,500 to $20,000 depending on size.

Grows a diamond from a pet's ashes or fur in its own Texas lab, with published prices.
Solidified stone. The full volume of ashes is processed into a handful of smooth, solid stones you can keep together or share among family. Nothing is left as loose ash. Turnaround is usually a few weeks, and the price is close to flat rather than tied to your pet's size.
Memorial diamonds. A lab grows a diamond from carbon, and a portion of that carbon comes from your pet's ashes. This takes months, and the price climbs with carat and color, from around a thousand dollars into the tens of thousands.
One honest point on diamonds. Only part of the finished diamond's carbon comes from your pet; the rest is added to complete the crystal. Reputable companies say this plainly. It does not make the diamond less meaningful, but it is worth knowing before you compare prices.
How to choose. If you want to keep something for every family member and have it back soon, solidified stone is simpler and cheaper. If you want a single heirloom gem and can wait months, a memorial diamond fits. Either way, confirm how much of the ashes the service needs, since both return the remainder to you.
